Frequently Asked Questions
The following questions and answers can address those initial inquiries for new customers:
What material do you use for your closet organizers?
We use an industrial grade 3/4" melamine for all of our closet organizers. This will provide a superior performance over 5/8" products, being more rigid and resistant to "bowing" on the shelving components.
Our organizers come with a 3mm edge banding on the facing edge. We utilize the thickest banding available, as the front face is is a high wear area. Again, this will offer superior performance over .5mm and 1mm edge tape.
How do your closet organizers mount or attach to the wall?
First, we install a steel rail on the wall at the top. Our vertical pieces (called gables) hang from this rail. We also support the closet organizer at the bottom by installing a "tow cleat" underneath the bottom shelf. The rest of the organizer components are attached to these gables. This method provides minimum attachment points into your wall. It also is very strong and secure and can safely handle the loads that you put onto the shelves, clothing rods and into the drawers.
Are there standard dimensions for your closet organizers?
We typically build our organizers in either 14" or 16" depths, as these are convenient depths for many closet based organizers. However, we do offer depths from 10" out to over 30", if you require a truly custom depth. The desired depth is really dependent upon the style of organizer, the space it has to fit into and of course what the organizer will be used for. Our design consultation will help determine the appropriate height, wight and depth for your organizer.
What styles of closet organizers do you offer?
Because we design and build from scratch, we can offer you almost anything! We do offer both wall mount and floor mount styles. The wall mount is very functional in reach-in closets and small-to-medium size walk-in closets. The floor mount style is very useful in larger closets or even on open walls in areas like mud rooms, garages and storage rooms.
Both styles can be oufitted with such add-ons as drawers, doors, baskets and hundreds of other closet accessories.
